Storytellers Festival

belonging and hope

The Literature Centre’s Storytellers Festival will be held at the newly built Fremantle Library at Walyalup Civic Centre in the heart of Fremantle on Sunday 26 June, from 10AM to 4.30PM.

This year the festival will be joined by a stellar artist lineup. Including the Noongar singing group Madjitil Moorna, award-winning screenwriter Cath Moore, children's book authors and illustrators James FoleyGabriel Evans and Tina Wilson, Artist Matt Ottley and author Meg McKinlay, plus oral storytelling from Centre for Stories. 'The Story Pitch' is another exciting feature whereby attendees can pitch their story ideas (3 minutes) to a panel of presenters and publishers from Fremantle Press

Our 2022 Storytellers Festival will celebrate stories of belonging and hope, and is free for all ages to enjoy.

Don't forget to visit The Literature Centre's Bookshop on Level 1. Authors and artists will be available for book signings on the ground floor of The Fremantle Library during the breaks. EFTPOS facilities will be available.

Bookings are recommended and are available to reserve via Eventbrite. Parents are required to remain onsite with their children.

Storytellers Festival is a free community event made possible with the generous support of Lotterywest and the City of Fremantle
