Are you an educator or an education assistant with a passion for writing, storytelling, picture books and literacy?
We are recruiting for people with teaching experience, resilience and innovation to develop and deliver our Creative Learning Programs. The Literature Centre provides quality student workshops and writing programs from primary through to secondary across Western Australia, inspires teachers with professional learning opportunities, and supports Australia’s authors and illustrators of literature for young people.
We are looking for a pool of up to five Creative Learning Associates with at least five years teaching experience, who will be available to deliver literature, exhibition and creative writing workshops and professional learning aligned with the WA curriculum from the start of Term 1 2024. We will provide induction and training and match your experience, skills and availability with our workshop bookings throughout the school year. Some regional travel may be required.
We are also looking for Education Assistants or pre-service teachers to work casually to support the delivery of our Young Writers Program.
We can offer a safe, collaborative, flexible and stimulating environment to work in. Teachers and Education Assistants in our pool will be remunerated at rates commensurate with relief rates paid in WA schools.
Applications close on 30 November. Please email a CV and a covering letter of no more than two pages outlining why you want to work with us and the experience, skills and imagination you would bring to the role to info@thelitcentre.org.au
