Healthy Plate Competition with partners Healthway & Foodbank

The Literature Centre has enjoyed a successful and well-established partnership with Healthway, promoting Go for 2&5 messages to children for many years.  In recent years, we've also teamed up with Foodbank as part of the partnership in order to distribute exciting Superhero Food teacher resources, recipes books to children and introduce them to competitions.

In 2021, we're delighted to promote the Superhero Foods Healthy Plate Competition to reinforce nutritional information and hook children into learning more about healthy choices in a fun way.

Competition Details - Deadline 9am, Wed 22 Sep!

Children are asked to draw their favourite Superhero Foods character in the appropriate food group on the circle or 'plate' worksheet provided.  They need to provide one character for each food group (grains, vegetables, meat, dairy and fruit). Or they can get creative and design their own Superhero Food complete with special powers. For inspiration check out Superhero Foods characters in the front of the Let's Cook recipe book, or go to www.superherofoodshq.org.au
