The Book Builders Challenge is the newest literacy project to hit WA schools.
Created by local author, Kristy Nita Brown, the challenge had its early stages in 2024 and is continuing with full speed ahead for this year. With numerous experienced and popular authors, illustrators, and publishing professionals involved, young people get the opportunity to have hands-on experience in the process of creating their own book.
The Literature Centre is thrilled to be involved, with the donation of books and four passes for the 2026 Young Writers program available as prizes for the challenge.
The Book Builders Challenge is full for 2025, but there will be an exciting book launch in September for the amazing work students have completed.
