Anya Seabourne is an educator, writer and arts-literary bookseller. U.K born, Anya holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education (English and Drama). With over a decade of experience teaching English in WA secondary schools, Anya is now aligning her working life more closely with her passion; learning through the arts. Developing, facilitating and inspiring creative writing and imaginative ways of thinking in children and young people is her purpose, informed by a deeply humanist perspective that values diversity and inclusivity.
Anya is thrilled to be part of The Literature Centre team and to have the opportunity to excite young people about stories, art, language and their own creative voices. Nurturing imaginations, building critical literacy skills and supporting young people to be creators and empowered citizens through language is her world.
