Cost

$140 per student per year. This includes one full-day workshop each term across the year.

Invoicing Details

Invoices will be issued at the end of Term 1 based on the number of enrolled students.

Terms & Conditions

The Young Writers program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to work with four acclaimed artists each year across a range of genres and creative styles.

Please note the following conditions:
-The annual fee is $140 per student, covering one workshop each term.
-Schools are encouraged to enrol students for the full year to ensure continuity of learning.

Bookings for individual terms are also accepted.
If a student cannot attend their selected scheduled session they may:
-attend another day if space allows, or
-access online writing workshops when available.

Teachers must supervise students at all times in accordance with the Department of Education Local Area Excursions Policy 2021.

As a not-for-profit organisation, refunds are not always available once bookings are confirmed.

Photography & Filming Permission

The Literature Centre may take photographs or video recordings of students participating in Young Writers workshops throughout the year.

These images may be used for purposes including:
-Website content
-Promotional materials and publications
-Funding applications and reporting
-Social media channels
-Program documentation and archival records

Students’ names will not be published alongside images on social media or other public platforms.

We understand that some students cannot be photographed or filmed. If a parent or guardian does not give permission for a student to be recognisable in photographs or video, please email writers@thelitcentre.org.au with the student’s full name, year group, and the day/s they are attending the program.

Teachers will also be asked to notify Literature Centre staff on each workshop day so that students without permission can be identified.

While all reasonable efforts will be made to respect these requests, The Literature Centre cannot guarantee that students will not appear incidentally in wide-angle or background images taken during program activities.
