International best-selling author Dervla McTiernan comes to the “Establishment”. The place where crimes came to a halt. In conversation with The Literature Centre's Natalya Hawrylak, Dervla will discuss whether there is such a thing as being too clever in a crime novel. If death is a teacher what has been learned from writing novels? Delve into The Murder Rule with a glass of wine and antipasto platters. You are within the safety of the Old Prison Hospital, you are all Behind the Walls.

Dervla has always been an avid reader. In 2015 she wrote the first forty thousand words of what would become The Ruin. Now, Dervla is an international bestseller and critically acclaimed writer of The Ruin, The Scholar, and The Good Turn along with her latest The Murder Rule. Dervla has won multiple awards, including a Barry Award, the Davitt Award, a Ned Kelly Award, and an International Thriller Writer Award. She has spent twelve years working as a lawyer.
