Laura Keenan and Linda Martin from Night Parrot Press, Perth's independent publisher of flash fiction and writing outside of the mainstream, are thrilled to share their knowledge and experience of the editing and publishing process. Having worked with many of WA's established and emerging writers, they have recently published two anthologies of flash fiction, a novella, and now publish stories through their online portal for young writers, Flash Lab.

Flash Lab is an online publishing portal for young, emerging WA writers aged 12-17, run by the team at Night Parrot Press. It is a safe space for showcasing new writing by the next generation of WA writers. Writers can submit their stories and work with a professional editor before having their work published online.

Night Parrot encourages all young writers between 12-17 in WA to submit stories of 300 words or less to submissions@nightparrotpress.com with the subject heading 'Flash Lab'. You can find more information on the Night Parrot Press website.
