Be part of our story

We are over the moon to be able to announce that we were successful in our funding application to Creative Australia's Plus 1 Program.

From February 1st to May 29th 2024 we’re aiming to raise $35,000. If we reach our donation goal, Creative Australia will match it, meaning every dollar you donate is doubled! A donation to The Literature Centre is a gift to the young story and art makers in Western Australia. 

When you donate to The Literature Centre, you help to build a future where all young people have access to Australian literature created by a thriving, celebrated community of authors and illustrators. You help make sure young readers are able to find their experiences represented in our programs, and creatively nurture young people so they have the access, skills and inspiration to share their own stories.

This funding will help us continue to deliver programs like The Sound of Picture Books, a multi-modal experience that brings authors, illustrators, and musicians together to create an experience for children (and adults!) like no other, encouraging audience participation and giving young people the chance to engage with artists and participate in a sense of belonging.

We’re so pleased to introduce The Page Turners: a three-tiered initiative which is an opportunity to become part of our story - and receive some benefits yourself!
