Frané Lessac

Frané Lessac is an author-illustrator, creating over fifty books for children worldwide. She grew up in a small town outside of New York, lived on the Caribbean island of Montserrat and later London before moving to Australia in 1990. Frané has served on the executive committee of the Australian Society of Authors, was the inaugural Regional Advisor for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators in WA, and is presently the published member's advisor. She was the WA State Ambassador for the National Year of Reading and currently serves as an Ambassador for both Room to Read and Books in Homes. Frané is a recipient of the Muriel Barwell Award for Distinguished Service to Children's Literature.
