Upcoming Events - 2 Book Launches And Our Festival!

We are very excited to be hosting three free public events during Term 4 at The Literature Centre.  
It's been a long time between events for us, the last one back in February!  
For the Australian Storytellers Festival, bookings must be made via Eventbrite.  The link to this free event will not be live until 4pm, Saturday 24 October when we find out more about venue capacities.  Stay tuned!

29 OCT - BOOK LAUNCH - How To Make A Bird  by Meg McKinlay and Matt Ottley

Thursday 29 October, 6pm - Meg McKinlay and Matt Ottley have collaborated to create the stunning picture book, How To Make A Bird.  
Held at The Literature Centre in Fremantle, launched by Frane Lessac.  
Note: Matt Ottley lives is in NSW but will still be involved with the launch!

10 NOV - BOOK LAUNCH - Monkey Mind  by Rebecca J Palmer

Tuesday 10 November, 6pm - Rebecca J Palmer is thrilled to launch her new picture book, Monkey Mind.
Held at The Literature Centre in Fremantle, launched by Liliana Stafford.

15 NOV - AUSTRALIAN STORYTELLERS FESTIVAL - Free Author/Illustrator Sessions

Our much loved community event originally scheduled for April 2020 is now set to take place on Sunday 15 November.  Our gates will open at 9.30am to and close at 3pm. This free event is made possibly due to the generous support of Lotterywest and donors, Liz & Peter Jones.
When released on Eventbrite (Saturday 24 October at 4pm), visitors must book into one or more sessions online to see superb WA Authors and Illustrators in action including Brenton E. McKenna, Briony Stewart, Cristy Burne, Frane Lessac, Gavin Aung Than, James Foley, Jen Banyard and Mark Greenwood.  For Cristy and Jen’s writing sessions, an exciting opportunity will be promoted for children aged 8-12 years old to attend.  The full schedule, how to book into sessions, and the special writing competition details will be posted on our website soon.
