As we start a new chapter at The Literature Centre we want to help young people discover a love of books just like you did when you were their age.  For teenagers, perhaps they need to rediscover their love of books and have access to Australian books with stories they can identify with.

For nearly 30 years, our Centre has provided quality student workshops and writing programs, contracted and supported Australia’s talented authors and illustrators of literature for children and young adults, and inspired teachers through professional learning.  We are a not-for-profit organisation, working with hundreds of students in Perth and regional WA every week.  Literature for young people is worthy of investment and there are many ways you can support our work – celebrating, promoting and nurturing Australian Children’s Literature.  

We gratefully accept donations to help us fund the important work we do in Arts Education, particularly during the challenging COVID-19 times. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible and we are endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient and Tax Concession Charity.
