The Literature Centre operates during school terms, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Please ensure all courier deliveries to the Centre are scheduled during this time. During school holidays, please leave a message and we'll get back to you.
Limited street parking is available. For excursions, school buses are permitted to drop off and pick-up students at the entrance gate of The Literature Centre but are not permitted to park.
For events, the closest carpark (paid) can be found in the Parry Street carpark near the front entrance of the Old Fremantle Prison. Occasionally, the grassed area of Hampton Road accessible near Centre's gate is available for free event parking. Check for event specific signage.
The Centre is housed in the Old Prison Hospital of the Fremantle Prison, which is a World Heritage- listed site. All visitors are asked to respect the heritage of these surroundings, and take care when walking in and around the Centre.
The Centre has disabled access (via ramp) at the entrance gate, and a disabled toilet.
