THE SOUND OF PICTURE BOOKS
Sunday 25 February, 11.00am or 12.15pm.
Octagon Theatre, UWA, Hackett Drive, Crawley
Perfect for children of all ages and adults, enjoy these unique and engaging performances. Hear the beautiful story of Tree - A Little Story About Big Things by Danny Parker and Matt Ottley, marvel at the illustrations and be moved by the music.
Author, Danny Parker and illustrator/composer, Matt Ottley will be joined by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra's string quintet and Yamaha’s Alf Demasi as they present a fun and interactive 45 minutes of narration, music, imagery, drama and demonstrations of composition and illustration. By the end of the session, Matt and Danny will co-present the whole story while the musicians perform the exquisite Tree music synched to the illustrations from the book on a large screen.
As this is a free family event we suggest you arrive early to avoid disappointment. Children will be invited to participate (if they wish to) with Tree actions either from their seat or down near the stage.
